Dr. Bernard earned her Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from the University of Rhode Island in 2016. She then attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and completed her clinical year at the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University, earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. She has spent the past six years working in the seacoast region, where she developed a strong appreciation for getting to know families and their pets while providing compassionate, gentle, and fear-free veterinary care.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Bernard has a special interest in conservation medicine and global wildlife health and has participated in conservation missions in South Africa, with plans for more in the future. At home, she shares her life with two adored cats: Harvest, a rescue from the island of St. Kitts where she attended veterinary school, and Indigo, a Siamese rescue. In her free time, she enjoys relaxing with her cats, practicing yoga, and spending time at the beach.
