Dr. Laura Koerber joined Old Town Animal Hospital in the fall of 2018 as a part-time associate. She liked the Old Town team and clients so much; she decided to join us full time in February of 2019. She grew up in New England and earned a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Biology from Plymouth State University in 1995. Her veterinary training started by working as a veterinary technician in a small animal practice in South Florida for three years. She then went on to veterinary school and graduated as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from Colorado State University in 2002. Dr. Koerber completed a 13-month internship in small animal medicine and surgery from VCA South Shore Animal Hospital in Massachusetts in 2003. Before joining the team at Old Town, Dr. Koerber practiced as an emergency and critical care veterinarian in Pennsylvania, Colorado, and New Hampshire for a combined total of 15 years. While she enjoyed the excitement of emergency medicine, she has enjoyed getting to know and develop relationships with the patients and clients at Old Town.
Dr. Koerber and her husband live in Kingston, NH, with their beautiful 9-year-old daughter. They have two cats: Basil Pesto (an 11-year-old male Tuxedo DSH) and Saber (a 3-year-old male black DMH). In her free time, she likes to spend time with her family, watching movies/interesting TV shows, and relaxing.
